Winter activities...

Alpine skiing

On site you will enjoy the ski area of Sixt for all levels of the green slope at the black run. By free shuttle from the Inn, you can ski on the 250 km track of the Grand Massif, bringing together the five stations of our valley, Flaine, Samoensles CarrozMorillon and Sixt. The return to Sixt will be by bus or ski on the trail of the Cascades 14 km long.

Cross-country skiing

66 km of trails for exploring the high Giffre and Horseshoe. On the site of Joux Plane, access from Samoens, 30 km ski runs facing the Mont Blanc.

Another way to discover the mountain, alone or with a guide. Routes marked out on all the valley.

Situated between Morzine Valley and that of Chamonix, Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval is classified as «One of the most beautiful villages in France». An exceptional concentration of  géological curiosities allow themselves to contemplate a few steps from our cottage. Among them, The Cirque of Fer à Cheval, the Cascade du Rouget (The Queen of the Alps), the Gorges des Tines...

Hiking

We are located close to the limit GRS Maison Neuve / Salvagny. Access to the height of the Bridge of Nants.

By train

(Cluses Station 25km) TGV Paris > Cluses via Annecy or Bellegarde way through about 5 hours.

By plane

Geneva Cointrin Airport (68 k) (Switzerland, plan passport or identity card)
Annecy Airport (73km)

By car

The inn is located 23km (30 minutes) of the motorway (A40 exit N°18 Cluses Scionzier) between Geneva and Chamonix. Follow the indications for Samoens where you will find directions to Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval.

By bus

Shuttle buses from Cluses, Annemasse and Geneva airport.
